Our efforts

We stretch our reach to the children, families, and LGBTI friends at block 13 and to the rest of the camp. Human rights defenders on ground are empowered to empower these people of all sexualities to live, dream, aspire and achieve.

Education

A solid foundation in education is key to success later in life. Your donations will help volunteer teachers with books, scholarstic materials and extracurricular activities to help get youngsters off to the right firm start despite the horrors awaiting them.

Health

Basic first aid provision and support for proper health care that many of us take for granted can be hard for others to access. We ensure that LGBTI in Kakuma Refugee camp have access to the private health practitioners they need, whom will understand them better, treat them with dignity and respect and won't discriminate them.

Community

Community is the family that goes beyond family. It is the people and places that we come in contact with each and every day. When we strengthen communities, we strengthen individuals.

Things HRDs and volunteers do in the camp

These are some of the things that human rights defenders believe they need to keep them going. "Each and every day, we carry out lots of work and activities across the camp among the LGBTI folks, involving people of every sexuality, age, interest and need."
